You can see my June 11 entry for more details. The TZ is the white stuff in my hand (as it's mostly gone, you can tell it is the part of the meal that I liked), the meat is Guinea Fowl, and the soup is something weird and gross.
Again, I'm trying to leave a message. I'm making more mistakes than I can believe. Started with food and clothes, the building that looks like toy construction more clothes and food.
What a great adventure for this time in your lives. Since I last tried to write [not the one 5 minutes ago] I went to NYC. Here's what happened.
In New York, I met and have Laurie Liss, Sterling Lord Literary Agency, for my agent. She’s well connected with Simon & Schuster as well as all others. She said, “I like this,” and was very encouraging. She will follow through on all the people below that I met with.
I met with: Dean Karrel, the CEO of Wylie. He remembered me from last year. Told me where to send my manuscript. Deborah Brody, Executive Editor of non-fiction at Harlequin. Wants me to send the manuscript. Robert S. of Apatara. They put our pdf’s into digital format to download for Internet Sales. An arm of Amazon.com Danielle Marshall, Marketing Manager of Beyond Words, an imprint of Atria Books/Simon & Schuster – Market ‘The Secret,’ Loved my book, said it fit right between 2 best sellers from last year. Will hand carry it to their Acquisitions Editor Candace Johnson -HCI – Asked me to send it to their managing editor, took my materials to pass to her. Courtney Payne – Chronicle Books – wants me to submit my manuscript. Pennie Clark Ianniciello – buyer of books for Costco. I met her at the Simon & Schuster booth. When it’s printed we’ll submit it to her as well as to Wal-Mart Susan Costello of Abbeville Press – wants me to submit my manuscript.
Suzanne Rafer, Workman Publishing, wants to see the Diet of Light Pamphlet as a ‘taste’ of my book, Diet of Light and Life.
Now I have to finish all the last details on the book to get it sent to NYC.
Continue in good health on your great African adventure.
